As a Firmware Manager at Eko you will: Contribute to the successful volume manufacture of medical devices to detect cardiovascular conditions and improve patient care Lead and manage the team responsible for firmware design, prototyping and testing Hire, coach, and mentor firmware developers Be a hands-on firmware developer who designs, debugs and maintains firmware Be an expert on bluetooth low energy communication and work collaboratively with the mobile team to ensure seamless communication Have expertise in firmware development on low power microcontrollers Work closely with EE, Hardware and other engineers. Work collaboratively with Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Quality teams at Eko Maintain thorough documentation of process and tests. Maintain strict version control on code base and accompanying documentation Participate in design reviews and code reviews for new and existing firmware Qualifications 2+ years experience managing small firmware teams 4+ years professional experience developing and maintaining firmware for low power electronics devices Proven strong C development and software architecture skills Proven strong understanding of software design - technology, methods and approaches In depth experience with real time operating systems, system services, BSPs and drivers Extensive experience with sensor data acquisition, conditioning, filtering, and processing, algorithm integration and optimization Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or comparable skills Nice to Haves Experienced in ISO 13485 medical device development Experience in physiological sensing applications Background in audio processing and compression Experience with ARM Cortex-M Eko is elevating the way clinicians detect and monitor cardiac and respiratory disease by bringing together advanced sensors, patient and provider software, and AI-powered analysis.
