Engineering Team Lead As a Team Lead within the Brightside engineering team, you will have a direct positive impact on our patients’ lives, our cutting edge services, and methodology. You're someone that started off as an engineer, grew into a senior engineer, then a technical lead. You will support the engineering team by example, leading development efforts while assisting with technical product and project management, career development, feedback, and increased ownership and connection with the team. Your Responsibilities Lead development efforts across multiple initiatives Mentor and grow a team of engineers and developers Create an atmosphere of support, flexibility, and collaboration Spend half of your time coding and reviewing PRs Define and champion quality of code and velocity of development Work to support the career growth path for every engineer You Value Patient safety and data security Clean, simple, readable code Robust automated testing (ideally rspec/capybara/react-testing-library) Full code ownership DRY and YAGNI Small, frequent releases to production Requirements 5+ years of full stack development experience with Rails and React 2+ years of experience leading teams of 5+ senior developers Comfortable working in a 100% remote environment Preferred Product management experience Built/supported HIPAA-compliant applications Prior startup experience Salary, Benefits, and Perks $150,000 - $200,000 annualized salary based on experience Platinum healthcare, vision and dental Meaningful impact, great people, balanced life, positive and progressive culture.
