Job Duties And Responsibilities The Product Marketing Director is a crucial role in helping to define the future of Verana Health’s product strategy. The ideal candidate is a highly analytical visionary and fluid collaborator who has a demonstrated track record of working with and through others to drive success. This person should have experience leading resources to conduct strategic assessment and research, but should also be comfortable “getting their hands dirty” in data analysis, market research, and product launch activities. In tight collaboration with Product Management, this person will lead upstream marketing efforts—go-to-market strategy, market intelligence, messaging/positioning, and product launches—and will also play a key role in partnering with Marketing, Sales, and Commercial Operations to inform downstream activity. Responsibilities Product Strategy: Lead multidisciplinary workgroup in defining product opportunities founded in analytics and data-as-a-service. Conduct robust analysis of landscape, including competitors, customers, pricing, and capabilities to inform ongoing opportunity assessments to guide product strategy. Go-to-Market (GTM) Strategy: Define new market opportunities and bolster current ones with compelling business cases for expanding market presence or entering new markets based on market and customer insights, reviews, and feedback. Be the subject matter expert (SME) on Verana Health’s market position, understanding the market landscape, trends, competitor capabilities, and customer use cases. Market Intelligence: Spearhead market intelligence through in-depth industry research, competitive analysis, market position analysis, and opportunity assessments. Conduct voice-of-customer (VOC) research to understand customer needs, pain points, and opportunities. Leverage intelligence to make proactive and regular recommendations on product positioning and opportunities to boost current and future market position. Product Messaging & Positioning: Develop targeted and meaningful product positioning and messaging that differentiates Verana Health from competitors. Collaborate with Product Management and Marketing to ensure a streamlined value proposition that is clearly understood both internally and externally. Product Launches: Closely collaborate with Product Management, Marketing, Sales, and Commercial Operations to plan and execute the soft- and hard-launches of net-new products and releases of existing products. Ensure customer-facing teams are well-trained and equipped with the tools and materials they need to drive success. Collaboration: Collaborate and drive alignment across an array of internal teams. Regularly liaise with multiple external stakeholders. Continually measure and internally socialize how activities support revenue growth and bring value to customers. Basic Requirements Bachelor’s degree in a business-, technology-, or healthcare-related discipline. Advanced degree preferred (MBA, MS). 7+ years in product marketing with specific experience in analytics, AI, and/or DaaS. 3-5 years of experience with analysis of data for strategic purposes. Experience in Healthcare, Healthcare Technology, or a related field preferred. Proven record of driving transformation and partnering closely with cross-functional teams. Ability to translate high volumes of ambiguous or conflicting information into concise insights. Outstanding problem solver with a customer-centric mentality. Fluid communicator who can “sell” and present to audiences of all levels. Left-brain thinker with right-brain tendencies. Hungry to make an impact. Enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.
