We're growing fast and looking for an accomplished technical leader to help us accelerate.
As the Director of Applications Engineering, Core App, you will lead the teams taking Hinge Health's chronic pain program to the next level. Your teams will focus on making a 4.9-star app more beautiful, more engaging, and more effective at conquering chronic back and joint pain.
You will recruit and empower an elite management team to build and empower several cross-functional scrum teams. Your teams will crackle with collaborative creative energy, and pride themselves on predictable delivery and uncompromising quality.
You will report to the VP of Engineering and work with seasoned peers overseeing other facets of product development. Together with leaders in product and design, you will manage process and design systems to sustain our high performance culture through several hypergrowth inflection points.

Optimize recruiting, hiring, and onboarding to keep pace with company growth
Resolve endless growing pains with insightful, systematic solutions
Ignite a teaching culture and share Hinge Health's insights with the broader tech community
Establish an internship program that draws the brightest and accelerates their development
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Seasoned experience leading and managing a team of software developers, including 2+ years of managing through managers, especially in distributed/remote-first offices
Strong track record building software applications, with an emphasis on high-availability services, security, and compliance
Agile expertise, with a strong track record of continuous delivery and the ability to coach others to sustain it
Demonstrated ability to envision, share, and manage the execution of a high-leverage strategic roadmap
Data-driven, outcome-oriented servant leadership that attracts the strongest talent and empowers them to do the best work of their career
Desire to learn, grow and develop as the company grows
Strong collaboration skills, and a bias toward teamwork
Clear communication that makes you a signal-enhancing conduit across every boundary you bridge
